The cutting factory is located in Chanthaburi, a rural area of Thailand, well known for its gem industry.
A staff of around thirty are faceting our stone continuously, with extra cutters and polishers called in when needed. Strict quality control is in place, as every stone is checked for cutting accuracy, colour and polish, regardless of size, some as small as a pin head.
In true Thai fashion, it is a happy work environment for all, with much companionship and laughter.
Many of the employees are husband and wife couples and their children come to the factory after school to join their extended family and do their homework together. Saturday afternoon is a time set aside for everyone to come to the factory for a cook up. It is very much just one big family and lots of fun.
